The terms governing your use of our website, booking platform, and hotel services

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Regal Empire Luxury Hotel website (regalempireluxuryhotel.com), our WooCommerce booking platform, all hotel services, and your stay at our property located at KM 132 Auchi-Okene Expressway, Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria. By accessing our website or making a booking, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Definitions

“Hotel”

Regal Empire Luxury Hotel, its management, staff, and affiliates

“Guest” / “You”

Any person making a booking or staying at the hotel

“Booking”

A confirmed reservation for one or more rooms or hotel services

“Website”

regalempireluxuryhotel.com, including the WooCommerce checkout

“GlobalPay”

The payment gateway service provided by Zenith Bank for online transactions

“Services”

All accommodation, dining, wellness, events, and ancillary services

2. Bookings & Reservations

  • All bookings made via the website are subject to availability and confirmation by the hotel.
  • A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment through GlobalPay by Zenith Bank.
  • The hotel reserves the right to decline any booking at its sole discretion.
  • Guests must be 18 years or older to make a booking. Minors may stay as part of a family booking under adult supervision.
  • A valid government-issued ID is required at check-in for all adult guests.
  • The maximum occupancy per room is 2 guests for Classic Rooms and 3 guests for all other room categories. Exceeding this limit may result in termination of the booking without refund.

ID Requirement

Caution Fee

₦50,000 per night, payable at check-in. Refundable on check-out assessment.

4. Payment Terms

  • All room bookings must be paid in full at the time of online booking via GlobalPay by Zenith Bank.
  • Payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (NGN). The hotel is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations.
  • A mandatory caution fee of ₦50,000 per night is collected separately at check-in.
  • All accounts — including incidental charges — must be settled in full before departure.
  • The hotel accepts payment by card (via GlobalPay) and cash at the property.
  • Receipts are issued for all payments. Retain your receipt as proof of payment.

Breakfast

Complimentary for 1 person per room. Tray charge applies for room service.

All rates are quoted per night, inclusive of complimentary breakfast for one guest. Rates are subject to change without prior notice. The rate displayed at the time of booking confirmation is the rate that applies to that booking.

6. Guest Conduct

All guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the standards of a luxury hotel environment. Guests agree to abide by the Hotel’s House Rules & Guest Policies (available on request and on the website), including:

  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
  • No parties, functions, or excessive noise in guest rooms.
  • No smoking anywhere on the property (including balconies). ₦150,000 penalty applies.
  • No pets permitted (except certified service animals with prior notification).
  • No firearms, illegal substances, or hazardous materials.
  • No outside food or beverages in F&B outlets (₦50,000 corkage charge may apply).
  • Children under 16 must be supervised in pool, gym, and spa areas at all times.

The hotel reserves the right to terminate a stay and request immediate departure without refund for serious violations of these conduct rules.

7. Photography & Filming

  • Access to hotel facilities for commercial or personal photography/video shoots attracts a fee of ₦50,000 per session.
  • A maximum of 3 persons are permitted per shoot session.
  • Restaurant and elevator areas are excluded from photography sessions.
  • The comfort and privacy of other guests must not be infringed upon during any shoot.
  • The hotel’s logo and branded materials may not be reproduced without prior written consent.

8. Liability

  • The hotel is not liable for personal property left unsecured in guest rooms. Guests are advised to use the in-room safe.
  • The hotel is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to vehicles parked on the premises.
  • The hotel’s total liability for any claim arising from a guest’s stay shall not exceed the total amount paid by the guest for that booking.
  • The hotel is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages.
  • Use of hotel facilities (pool, gym, spa) is at the guest’s own risk. The hotel is not liable for injury arising from misuse of facilities.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on regalempireluxuryhotel.com — including text, images, logos, graphics, and the WooCommerce storefront design — is the intellectual property of Regal Empire Luxury Hotel. Reproduction, distribution, or use of any content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

10. Website & WooCommerce Platform

  • The hotel makes reasonable efforts to ensure the website is accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee that all information is error-free.
  • The hotel reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the website without notice.
  • Online bookings are processed securely via WooCommerce and GlobalPay by Zenith Bank. The hotel does not store card details.
  • Technical failures in the payment gateway do not constitute a booking confirmation. Always await a written booking confirmation email.

11. Cancellation & Refunds

Please refer to our separate Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy documents for full details on cancellation timeframes, refund entitlements, and how to submit a cancellation or refund request.

12. Force Majeure

The hotel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, government actions, pandemics, strikes, or infrastructure failures. In such events, the hotel will endeavour to offer rescheduling or partial refunds at its discretion.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or a guest’s stay shall first be referred to the hotel’s management for resolution. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the appropriate Nigerian courts in Edo State.

14. Amendments

Regal Empire Luxury Hotel reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on our website with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or booking services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
